Libraries observe GCC Children's Day collecting contribution for Gaza children
Declaring solidarity with the initiative of Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, "Gaza's Children, Our Children," Dubai Public Libraries observed GCC Children's Day, which is observed on 15th January every year.
The day was observed with a wide range of activities in different branch libraries in the emirate. Children members of these libraries dispatched letters with their finger prints on them along with the contributions they collected for the children of Gaza.
The activities also included free painting, in which children expressed their feelings about the sufferings of the children of Gaza.
Children also participated in a variety of cultural contests organized by the libraries, which included a contest on historic information, mainly of religious importance related to Palestine.

"Charity dish in solidarity with the children of Gaza," an activity organized by Dubai Municipality received tremendous response from the employees of the civic body. The activity organized at the Municipality headquarters was attended by a number of assistants to the Director General, senior officials and employees in different job categories.
The activity was organized in coordination with Human Appeal International based on the directives of Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It also adds to the other activities organized by the Municipality and the proceeds from the charity dish would be sent to the children of Gaza.
